Day 01 : Bhubneshwar
On arrival at Bhubneshwar Airport/Railway station, transfer to the hotel. Later a half-day city tour to the Bhubneshwar temples of Rajarani, Mukteswar, Parsurameswar, Lingaraj & Brahmeswar.
Bhubaneshwar was the ancient capital of the Kalinga Empire and now the capital of Orissa, Bhubaneshwars history goes back over 2000 years and was also once known as the Cathedral of East, on account of large number of shrines, all built in the extravagant Oriya style.
Lingaraja temple was built in the 11th century. Lingaraja Temples most distinctive features are its most ornately carved tower and spires that soar to a height of 54 meters. It is dedicated to Tribhuvaneshwar (Lord of Three Worlds).
