Departure in the evening from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Victoria Terminus)
This magnificent building is considered to be architecturally one of the
finest stations in the world. Built by the British in 1888, it has an
exquisite ornamentation on its facade along with beautifully executed panels
and friezes. It holds the statue of Queen Victoria on its dome. It is also a
world heritage monument.

Thursday : Ratnagiri
- Ganapatipule Sawantwadi
Morning Alight at Ratnagiri Railway Station and depart by coach for
Ganapatipule Beach.
Ganapatipule is one of the most spectacular beaches
along the Konkan Coast an idyllic getaway that attracts
peace-seekers, beach lovers, and pilgrims alike. Besides its clean beach and
clear waters, Ganapatipule is rich in flora, including mangroves and coconut
palms. Here, you can leave the hectic world behind as you laze around on
golden sands or explore the many trails that lead from the beach..
Return to Deccan Odyssey for lunch.
Lunch & free time onboard while train takes you through the hills and
mountain tracks towards Sawantwadi a heritage town.
Alight at Kudal railway station and proceed by AC bus to visit Sawantwadi
town.
This elite heritage destination is the entry point to Goa. The colorful
town is situated at the periphery of Moti Lake. Adjacent to lake is the
Palace built in 18th century by the then King Khem Sawant Bhonsale III.
Shilpa Gram is yet another place you must visit. A crafts village, where
you can watch local craftsmen manufacturing handicrafts and what's more, you
can buy some mementos too. Watch cultural programme in Shilpa Gram,
performed by local artists.

Friday : Sindhudurg
Morning Alight at the Sindhudurg Nagari Railway station and departure by AC
Bus to Malvan Jetty to witness Sindhudurg the Ocean Fort &
the one time naval base of Maratha empire. Sindhudurg fort stands on a rocky
island, known as Kurte, barely a km, from the Malavan Town. Sindhudurg Fort
was built in 1664-67 AD by King Shivaji. One of the best preserved forts of
the Marathas, the 48 acre Sindhudurg fort has a four km long zigzag line of
9 metres high and 3 metres wide rampart with 42 bastions. Apart from the
huge stones, the building material involved 2000 khandis (72,576 kgs) of
iron to erect the massive curtain wall and bastions. A notable feature is
that the foundation stones were laid down firmly in molten lead. It also
houses some twenty Hindu-Muslim families.
From jetty proceed to Tarkarli beach.
Tarkarli, a virgin beach at the confluence of river
Karli and Arabian Sea. The major attraction here is the long and narrow
stretch of beach, with its pristine water. On a clear day, you can see the
sea bed through a depth of 20 ft.
Lunch & free time at Tarkarli Beach resort.
Next, proceed to Walaval village to visit ancient temple of Goddess Laxmi
Narayana. After this visit proceed by bus to board the train at Kudal
Railway Station.
Dinner and overnight on board.
Saturday : Goa
Morning arrival at Karmali Goa. Board the bus to reach Old Goa to
visit the ruins of St. Augustine Church, once the largest cathedral in Goa.
Basilica of Bom Jesus, this is a 16th Century Church, the mortal remains of
St. Francis Xavier is enshrined here. The Cathedral and the Church of St.
Francis of Assissi that began as a mosque but now is an archaeological
museum for Goan antiques. Visit to Fontanhas the Latin quarters at Panjim.
Departure to Verne Railway Station to board the train. Lunch & leisure
time till evening.
Evening depart by bus to a beach hotel for a traditional Goan dinner.
Board the train from Madgaon railway station to Kolhapur.
Overnight on train.
Sunday : Kolhapur
Morning Arrive at Kolhapur City, also known as Karveer or Dakshin
Kashi of Maharashtra
Board the bus for a city tour of Kolhapur. A visit to the New
Palace, a royal palace partly converted into museum.The museum houses rare
paintings and artifacts used by the royal family. Royal weapons and a
tableau depicting court life of the last century create an aristocratic
ambience. Proceed to .Bhawani Mandap (The Town Hall), an exquisitely carved
Mahalaxmi Temple, a temple of goddess Amba bai visited by millions of
pilgrims, Shalini Palace built of intricately carved black stone &
Italian Marble which stands on the west side of lake Rankala, Witness
traditional Martial Art locally known as Mardani Khel at the
Palace followed by a Cultural Programme. Kolhapur is well known for its
textiles and cottons, in particular Kolhapuri saris. But it is of course
most famous for its jewellery and leather sandals and Kolhapuri chappals.
The exclusive items are on display in the stalls at the Palace so one can
leisurely do shopping.
At noon board the train at Kolhapur station. Lunch and leisure time for the
rest of the day.

Monday : Daulatabad Ellora Aurangabad
Morning Arrive at Daulatabad station and depart by road to visit the
Majestic fort Daulatabad. Next stop is Ellora caves, a World Heritage site,
having 34 cave temples dedicated to three different religions- Hinduism,
Buddhism & Jainism.
Lunch & free time.
After lunch move on to Aurangabad to visit the Bibi-ka-Maqbara, a replica
of Taj Mahal, a grand piece of Moghul architecture. Free time for shopping
Paithani, Himroo, Bidriwork from showrooms for a befitting memorabilia.

Tuesday : Ajanta
Morning arrival at Jalgaon railway station and board the bus to reach
Ajanta Caves. The renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta are a World Heritage
Site. See some of the finest paintings and sculptures of the second century
AD. Bodhisattva Padmapani, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara,
The Birth of the Buddha & Thousand Buddhas are a few amongst
the many fine murals & sculptures.
At noon board train at Jalgaon railway station and proceed to Nashik. Lunch
on-board and leisure time till evening
Evening Alight at Nashik Road railway station and board a bus to Panchawati
Ghat a holy place known for Kumbh Mela. Next, visit the Kala Ram Temple
built in 1794.
