Day 01 : Delhi - Rishikesh (320 Kms)
Pick up from Delhi Railway Station or Airport and proceed to Rishikesh. On
arrival at Rishikesh, check into the hotel and rest of the day is free.
Rishikesh, located about 25 km from Haridwar, is
surrounded by the hills on three sides and the Holy Ganga river flowing
through it. It is the gateway for the pilgrimage to the Char dham
i.e.Gangotri, Yamnothri, Kedarnath, Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath. It is
believed that meditation at Rishikesh leads to attainment of salvation and
it is home to many important Hindu religious thoughts and spirituality.
Rishikesh is also known as a centre for white water rafting and a base for
treks and hikes to the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas
Rishikesh is also known as the Yoga capital of the world. The International
Yoga week, which attracts participation from all across the world, is held
here every year in February.
The Ganges river which runs through Varanasi, is
worshiped by Hindus and is personified as a goddess. Hindu belief holds that
bathing in the river results in the forgiveness of sins and helps to attain
salvation. People travel from distant places to immerse the ashes of their
family / kin in the waters of the Ganga; this immersion also is believed to
send the departed soul to heaven. The ancient scriptures mention that the
water of Ganges carries the blessings of Lord Vishnu's feet; hence Mother
Ganges is also known as Vishnupadi, which means "Emanating from the
Lotus feet of Supreme Lord Sri Vishnu".

Day 02 : Rishikesh

Morning leave for Joshimath. On arrival, check into the hotel.
Joshimath is the winter home of Sri Badrinathji. It is
situated on the slopes above the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and
Dhauliganga. It is one of the 'maths' established by Adi guru

Day 03 : Joshimath - Badrinath (48 kms)
Morning option to proceed to Badrinath directly or to visit Auli by a cable
car from Joshimath. On a clear day, Nanda Devi, the highest peak in India is
clearly visible. Later proceed to Badrinath .
Auli an ideal Ski resort in the Garhwal Himalayas has
slopes comparable to the best in the world. Perched at an elevation of
2,500-3,050 meters, Auli not only offers a magnificent view of the Himalayan
ranges but is a delight for winter sports enthusiasts.
Badrinath
encircled by a beautiful valley, on the banks of holy river Alaknanda, with
the Neelkanth mountains as the backdrop, Badrinath Dham is the holiest of
the four shrines on the sacred itinerary of every devout Hindu. Perched on
the twin mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan, Badrinath is the abode of Lord
Vishnu.
The name Badrinath is derived from wild berries, locally called Badri. Once
the spot was carpeted with badris or wild berries and hence was known as
Badri Van or wild berries forest.
The legend of Badrinath
According to the legend, when the goddess Ganga was asked to descend to
earth to help the suffering humanity, the earth was unable to withstand the
force of her descent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into twelve holy
channels, and river Alaknanda is one of them. It later became the abode of
Lord Vishnu or Badrinath.
Situated at an altitude of 3,133 mts., the present temple is believed to
have been built by Adi Guru Shankaracharya - an 8th century Philosopher
saint, who also established a math here. It is also known as "Vishal
Badri'.

Day 04 : Badrinath
Morning darshan of the Badrinath Temple, later sightseeing covering Mata
Murti Temple, a scenic spot atop the hills, on the right bank of
Alaknanda. Here stands the holy temple dedicated to the mother of Sri
Badrinath. Mana Village primarily inhabited by Indo-Mangolian tribe,
it is considered to be the last Indian village before Tibet on this route.
Nearby are Vyas Gufa the rock cave of saint Ved Vyas, the writer of
Mahabharata; Bhim Pul a natural bridge over the Saraswati river and
Vasundhara Falls a 122 mts. high waterfall all forming an important part
of the pilgrimage to Badrinath.

Day 05 : Badrinath
- Srinagar (190 Kms)
Morning depart to Haridwar. Enroute stay at Srinagar.

Day 06 : Srinagar
- Haridwar (70 kms)
Morning departure to Haridwar. On arrival check into the hotel. After
freshening up, a sightseeing tour of Haridwar. A visit to the Mansa Devi
temple, Bharat Mata temple. In the evening visit Har-ki-paudi to see the
amazing Ganga aarathi.
Haridwar or 'the Gateway to Lord Hari', a major
pilgrimage for the Hindus. It stands as the gateway to the other three
important pilgrimages Rishikesh, Badrinath and Kedarnath. Devout Hindus
flock here in thousands to perform "Poojas" or prayers and take a
dip in the sacred waters of the Ganges, praying for the salvation of their
ancestors. The evening "Aarti" at "Har Ki Pauri" is one
the most enchanting sights to be seen at Haridwar.
Sightseeing includes a visit to Chandi Devi temple atop the Neel Parvat,
Bharat Mata Temple, which has eight stories in which the images of cities,
heroes and great men are installed and the Mansa Devi Temple atop the Bilwa
Parvat A rope way carriage operates to Mansa Devi Temple and Chani Devi
temple.

Day 07 : Haridwar

Morning drop to Delhi airport/hotel.
Excursion to Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Shahib
Day 01 : Badrinath - Govindghat - Ghangharia (25
Kms drive / 13 kms on foot)
Morning leave for Govindghat, thereafter 13 Kms trek to Ghangharia.
Govindghat is the confluence of rivers Alaknanda and
Laxman Ganga. It has an imposing Gurudwara named after Guru Govind Singh.
Ghangharia is the base camp for trek to Valley of Flowers where lodging and
boarding facilities are available.

Day 02 : Ghangharia
- Valley of flowers (5 Kms trek)
After breakfast with packed lunch leave for Valley of flowers. Return back
to Ghangharia.
Valley of flowers To the east of Badrinath is the exotic
valley of Flowers in a conical shape with the river Pushpawati flowing
through it. This valley has been declared as a National Park, it is a 18 Km
trek form Govindghat. A must - see for all nature lovers.

Day 03 : Ghangharia - Hemkund Sahib (06 Kms trek)
After breakfast leave for Hemkund Sahib. After Darshan and Pooja return
back to Ghangharia.
Hemkund Sahib Near the Valley of Flowers is the holy
lake Hemkund - an important pilgrimage of the Sikhs and Hindus. Along it
shores is the sacred Sikh Shrine where Guru Govind Singh, the tenth guru
united with God after prolonged Meditation in his previous birth. Nearby is
the Laxman temple. The reflection of surrounding snow clad peaks in its
placid waters offers a scenic sight.

Day 04 : Ghangharia
- Govindghat - Srinagar (13 kms on foot/150 kms by road)
Morning leave for Govindghat a 13 Kms trek and then by road to Srinagar
